Although the premise is of aliens who try to preserve their species, it's quite baffling they feel it necessary to kill humans on the colony (implied they attacked several colonies).

The game installer may have issues with newer Windows operating systems, but it isn't really required. Just copy the EI folder from the CD to wherever you keep your games and start playing.
