Personal review

The back story of Big Mac: The Mad Maintenance Man is that you are a secret agent, and you have to infiltrate a power station and shut it down.
The game didn't scroll and this made each concecutive screen really fast. You had to make Big Mac run across the screen as fast as possible, but then slow down to avoid being crushed by traps.
Success would allow you to shut down part of the power station and move onto an even more intense level.
The game got harder and harder and I never actually finished it before my poor Commodore 16 bit the dust.
I did love it though. I played it so much that I memorised the game music and still remember it today!
I also picked Big Mac as my handle when I was writing in a newspaper forum. I've kept the nickname and still use it today. Thanks for the program Mastertronic. I had many good hours of fun playing it (and getting squished by th traps)
If you like this game then look for "Mr Puniverse". That game is the sequel to Big Mac. It should have been called something like Big Mac 2, but I think Mastertronic were influenced by a feature on Noel Edmunds House Party (a popular BBC TV program in the UK when the game was released.)
