Personal review

Xzap! Wow! I remember this game was bundled with my Commodore C-16 back in '84 or so. This game had about 140 levels. I belonged to a local computer user's group at the time and i remember sitting up for the best part of three whole days playing this game to the end along with others. What happened to Darren Saddler and Archie Gray (or was it Grey?).

This was a simple yet addictive game using block graphics. One feature of the game that was useful was the ability to reply each level until it had been beaten - this meant we all took it in turns passing the joystick around until one of us had beaten the level - Wow! What a great game.

We took this game very seriously at the time as other computer groups up and down the country (although we were only aware of a few at the time) were racing to complete the game first. We held that title right in my living room with half a dozon of lads (including me) and an over-worked missus who kept us in good supply of coffee and munchies.

By far, the best joystick for this game is the 'QuickShot II' which is a digital joystick with micro-switches. And the best way to operate that joystick is to clasp it in the right hand by it\'s handle and use it by tapping (or nudging) the edges of the base of the joystick onto the palm of the left hand... this enabled us to get rapid pixel perfect positioning... Wow! We were masters at the time...
