Official description

In this 3D action/RPG you'll take the role of Maya, a heroine who is searching for the cause and cure to a curse infecting an entire city. Unlike most RPG's the game world exists in a modern setting and features very dark themes. A lot of the characters found in the game were introduced in the first Persona. One unique option in the game is the ability to reason with most of the monsters in the game, sometimes avoiding any bloodshed.
