Personal review
Compared to other NES/Famicom titles from 1987, Kid Niki is a refreshingly simple and straight-forward platform game. No strange gameplay mechanics or complicated maze-like layouts. Quick reflexes is all that is needed. Of course the game has some secret areas, but they are not mandatory. The game controls are nice and the levels look different enough. The game only lacks a bit of variety in enemy types and the same music plays in nearly each level (with the exception of one cave level which has different music I think).
