Personal review
Join Count von Count as he selects the number of the day from a spinning wheel than finds occurrences of that number on Sesame Street. The game aims to to teach audio visual recognition of the numbers 1-10. Additionally, the player has the option of selecting a group of ten items that they have counted. There is even a bonus level where the player can exercise pre-math skills needed to understand addition and subtraction. Although addition, subtraction, and math are not actually presented directly. All game play is of the sidescrolling platform variety and the player can jump to select the numbers or groups. This can be done in jump mode or run mode. Jump mode restrains the Count to leaping to preset positions under the numbers. This is to reduce difficulty for unskilled gameplayers. The run mode is a full platform game where the player must aim manually when jumping for numbers.
Count von Count can not exercise his hypnotism skills but can call thunder & lighting whenever desired. He speaks directly to the player via speech synthesis to give instructions and offer hints. Upon successes, he does his trademark laugh.
