Official description

For hundreds of years the Japanese have enjoyed playing picross, and now you can too with your old friend Mario's help! Picross is a math or crossword puzzle hybrid, and the one featured in the game has a beautiful Egyptian-style backdrop. The always-helpful Mario helps guide you through the puzzles, which consist of grids of square tiles that need to be chiseled away within 30 minutes to reveal the concealed picture. Running along the sides and tops of the grids are numbers that correspond to the number of tiles to be removed in a particular line. Remove the proper tiles and the hidden picture starts to appear; chop away a wrong tile and you start to lose valuable time. If you think this sounds too simple to be fun think again.
