1941 - Counter Attack Hudson Soft (Capcom)19911941: Counter Attack is a vertical scrolling shooter arcade game by Capcom, released in February 1990. It was the second sequel to 1942, and the third game in the 19XX series. It was ported to the SuperGrafx in 1991 and to GameTap.

The goal is to shoot down enemy airplanes and collect weapon power-ups (POW). The game uses a vitality system instead of life system in which if the player is hit, it loses one point of vitality and the player is destroyed if hit with 0 vitality then the player is given the option to continue. Lightning attacks can be used by pressing the B button which sacrifices a portion of life energy. One is only able to perform three loops per level and a bonus is awarded at the end of the level for unused loops. Player 1 uses a P-38 Lightning and Player 2 uses a new plane: DH.98 Mosquito. The game shifts from the original Pacific Front setting with that of the Western Front, in the north Atlantic Ocean.

It was the first shoot 'em up to add +1 to the score when a continue is used.***

4 Nin Uchi Mahjong  Nintendo (Hudson Soft)19844 Nin Uchi Mahjong (lit. "Four Player Strike Mahjong") is a Family Computer video game about Mahjong. It was only released in Japan using the Japanese language and it was Nintendo's second mahjong game ever made. The player can play against one to three computer opponents using the tiles associated with the Japanese variation of the game. Spreading to most mahjong-related video games after this one, it has become the most widely accepted form of Mahjong to the Japanese gamer. The "tiles remaining counter" would serve as a reminder to players about the status of the deck.
[i]Source: Wikipedia[/i]***The first 4-player Mahjong game for the NES/Famicom. A very basic game which leaves much to be desired in regards of interesting features, game modes or graphics, but which is understandable considering the game was one of the early titles of the Famicom game library.

[27]***Adventure Island is the NES version of Sega's [game=#158027]Wonder Boy[/game], only with having the main character and music changed. It is a simple and fun platformer with colorful graphics and really good gameplay and controls. Some later levels are rather hard to beat, especially when you die and must start the section again without a weapon. There is a life bar that functions as some kind of time limit. You refill the bar by collecting food. At the day of its (Japanese) release this might be the best Famicom/NES platform game since [game=#5128]Super Mario Bros.[/game] made its appearance.***A mysterious tropical paradise known as Adventure Island is the setting for this side-scrolling action game. The evil Witch Doctor has kidnapped Tina, the true love of Master Higgins. To save her, you must safely guide Master Higgins through eight perilous stages - including dense forests and creepy caves - while defeating all of the enemies in your path. Each area is made up of four rounds filled with enemies determined to stop you in your tracks. In addition, as time passes, Master Higgins's vitality is automatically drained. To keep going, he must eat constantly by grabbing fruit, milk and whatever other goodies he can as he races toward his goal. Sometimes eggs containing miraculous items like axes to throw at enemies or honey that grants temporary invincibility will appear. Use items skillfully to help you clear the areas. At the end of each area you'll face the Witch Doctor, who you must defeat to advance. Go, Master Higgins, go!***A platform game that is simply an altered version of Sega's Wonder Boy. Help Master Higgins save his girlfriend!
The Japanese title means 'Master Takahashi's Adventure Island'. Takahashi is the original Japanese name for Higgins.

[27]***Great game geared towards a younger audience but unless you can play the game for 12 hours nonstop you will never finish the game. There is no password or save game state when the game includes tons of levels. However, the game is very challenging and that means lots of fun. Also with the advent of emulators and save-state features this could be useful in saving your spot and continuing later.

[32]***The first (or second) Super Graf'x game, of course it's a shoot'em up.
The meanning of this game was to show the capabilities of the NEC 16 bits console, it's a classic side scroller shoot'em up with classic options which will grow your arsenal to blast huge bosses at the end of every level. But it has really nice graphics, sounds and animation.
When it wad edited it was even a splendid game.
Note: 'cause it's a Super Graf'X game, it's not really well emulated well.***

Baku Bomberman 2  Hudson (Hudson Soft)1999Bomberman and his new companion Pommy are back in a new explosive action-adventure for the Nintendo 64. Returning from a vacation at luxurious Hot Springs Planet Ksa2 after his first adventure, Bomberman finds Planet Bomber in disarray. Naturally, it's up to our hero to catch the culprit and save the universe (ah, the life of a game hero). It seems that the conniving Rukifellth has somehow managed to build himself a black hole, the perfect tool for capturing planets and enslaving the peaceful inhabitants. Bomberman and Pommy must destroy the gravity generators on each planet and capture the seven powerful stones that provide Rukifellth with the power to do wrong. The team is stocked with plenty of bombs to get through this adventure. Bomberman's firebomb is his staple weapon that explodes in four different directions. The ice bomb freezes water, objects, and enemies. A hurricane bomb blows the hero over impassible terrain. A lightning bomb fries circuitry in equipment and robots, and a Navarm bomb packs a powerhouse of a punch towards foes. In addition to the single-player adventure, a multiplayer mode for up to four bombers provides plenty of action after Bomberman sets off for his next vacation. N64labelimagesubject

Battle Ace  Hudson Soft1989Battle Ace is a cockpit dogfight game from Hudson Soft and one of a handful of games developed specifically for the SuperGrafx console. The player must fight through waves of enemies, shooting them down and avoiding their missiles. The game cycles through various zones, some of which include environment hazards like ice and asteroids that the player must also avoid by swerving around.

Of the seven games that took advantage of the SuperGrafx's increased computing power and graphics card, only three of them were specifically created for the system: Battle Ace, Aldynes and Madouou Granzort. Battle Ace was the first game to be released for the system.***
[1]***The Japanese title reads approximately [i]Batoru Eesu[/i] (Battle Ace).***Hudson didn't do themselves a favor when releasing Battle Ace as launch title for the SuperGrafx console. The game is a shooter in "[game=#16657]After Burner[/game]" and "[game=#10863]Space Harrier[/game]" tradition, but doesn't reach the quality of said games. Maybe a game with pseudo-3D was chosen to show some of the new consoles graphical capabilities. Problem here is that the graphics are not good looking at all. The action itself is a mixture of constantly pressing the fire button in the hopes to bring an enemy down by pure luck, whilst trying to wildly outmaneuver incoming missiles.
