[33]***Teddy Boy is one of the launch titles for the Sega Master System. In this colorful game your task is to kill all enemies of a level and collect little balls they leave behind. The game is ported from the arcades. It's cute, but also rather unimpressive.***
[22]***It's a video dream. Or nightmare. Depending on how well you're doing. Scramble from maze to maze - each more magnificent than the one before it - bumping off bugs, guppies, snails, dominos and more as you go. Grab precious points for tennis shoes, teddy bears, snails, and other identifiable objects. And try to avoid the ugly Den Den, a snapping dragon head. Or you'll be forced to wake up to reality. The colors are fantastic. Even the music is wild!

Pit Pot  Sega1985In "Pit Pot" you control a little knight on a quest to rescue a princess from a dungeon full of evil creatures. The game looks a bit like the dungeons from Zelda, but gameplay is a bit different. You mostly have to find keys in the rooms to open up further rooms. The looks and sounds good. It somewhat cute, but also rather difficult. One of the more interesting early Master System games.***The princess has been kidnapped and held captive inside the castle, and your job is to navigate each room by collecting all the goodies, and killing monsters using the hammer that a witch gave you. Once you have done that, you must get through one of the open doorways. To navigate the room, you can walk either on the gray tiles, or the yellow ones that surround them. Monsters also can walk on these gray tiles, but you can make them fall down if you smash a tile that they're on. The monsters will regenerate in the room after five seconds.

Be careful of dragons that will throw fireballs at you. If you get hit by a dragon, its fireball, or one of the monsters, you will lose a life. You can collect keys that will open locked doorways, so that you can exit through them. Some power-ups can also be collected. Collecting hearts, for example, will freeze all monsters on screen for a limited amount of time, giving you the opportunity of killing them.***Outside Japan Pit Pot was only available via a combo-cartridge together with [game=#9209]Astro Warrior[/game].

Astro Warrior & Pit Pot Sega1986Two games on one cartridge:

Pit Pot: The Magical Castle The princess has been kidnapped. To rescue her, navigate your way through each room while avoiding its inhabitants such as dragons and guards. If necessary, use your magical hammer to knock them off the screen. You can also knock a gray tile that they are on to cause them to fall down and die. You exit each room by passing through doors, but you have to find a golden key that will unlock some of them.

Astro Warrior Blast your way through three zones, including Galaxy Zone, Asteroid Zone, and Nebula Zone. Enemies will start making their way down the screen, but you only have bullets to deal with them. There are flashing points on the terrain in which you can shoot at, Shooting enough of these will cause a number of green ships, which when destroyed, will upgrade your firepower. At the end of each zone, you come face to face with a boss, and it is likely that you are going to need that extra firepower.

My Hero  Sega1986A bunch of seedy punks - complete with mohawks - try to steal your girl. It's a new variation on the old "Boy loses Girl" theme. Only it's more like "Boy loses life, if he doesn't get Girl back." Battle knife throwers, ferocious bulldogs, flying bottles, even the gang leader - whose name happens to be Mohikan. If it all seems hopelessly overwhelming, take heart. You're a high-ranking kung fu master. So you do have incredible martial arts skills in your favor. But then again, you don't have your girl. The punks do.***

[52]***Take command of the spaceship Opa-Opa and blast your way through various fantastical levels as you try to take out all the enemy bases in each stage. Once you've destroyed the bases, you'll have to beat the stage boss in order to move on to the next level. By using your guns and bombs wisely, you'll be able to take down your enemies and explore each of the crazy environments in this side-scroller. You can also buy upgraded weapons for your ship by accessing the shop. Various Sega games through the years have referenced the Opa-Opa-now you can play the game that started it all.***Fantasy Zone is one of the early Shoot'em Up Games from SEGA.
Introducing Opa-Opa, the Hero of the Fantasy Zone, you have to destroy several floating Monster Generators in order to get to huge Bosses and to free your friends and the whole Fantasy Zone from the Invasion of Aliens. Earn money by destroying Aliens, and use that money to power up Opa-Opa with all kinds of neat things like Lasers, Turbo-Engines, Big Megaton Bombs and stuff like that.

In my opinion a great game, the difficulty is the only bad point about it, since it's quite tough to beat your foes. But, once you get into the gameplay mechanisms you won't stop so easily.

Solomon no Kagi: Oujo Rihita no Namida  Salio (Aisystem Tokyo)1988"Solomon's Key" is a mix of puzzle and platform game. In each level you have to find a key which opens the exit door to the next level. With your magical wand you can make blocks appear and disappear. Thus you can free or build you way to the key or exit door. Many monsters roam the levels, which can be killed with limited charges of fireballs. Under many blocks extra items can be found, like extra charges, extra time and so on. The Master System version of this game is very well done. Maybe my favourite 8-bit version of the game, with brighter colors than other versions. It retains its good playability, although as in all other versions as well, the game becomes a bit too challenging too early. labelimageminimize
