Theme Hospital Electronic Arts (Bullfrog Productions)1997single playerTheme Hospital is a level-based hospital management simulation where players have to start on an empty building, and then assemble rooms with all kinds of material, from desks and file cabinets for the general diagnosis to the expensive ultra-scanners and X-rays to diagnose such bizarre diseases as Bloaty Head, Slack Songue or Alien DNA, and treat them with even more bizarre machines like an Head Inflator or a DNA fixer. There are several additional rooms, such as a staff room for your employees to rest, a toilet so that patients don't have to relieve themselves in the corridors, a research department to get the most advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies and a training room where consultants can teach a thing or two to rookies, making them capable doctors. The size and layout of each room can be set by the player, according to the available space. In addition to rooms, the player must provide radiators, seating for patients and drink machines.

However, rooms don't run by themselves. Most diagnostic and clinics can work with regular doctors, but others like the operating theater and the research room require specialized staff while the ward, pharmacy and the fracture clinic require an attending nurse. At the same time, the hospital can't run without handymen cruising around the hospital to water up dry plants, clean up litter and vomit (after all, people go there because they are sick) and fix machines, while receptionists direct patients to the proper rooms.

As levels advance, the player faces increasingly harder situations: VIP visits, emergencies, epidemics and earthquakes, which can either take a toll on reputation or on the bank account. On the other hand, as more and more equipment is required, additional plots of land are available for purchase in later maps.***

Until, that is, he receives a letter from a dead man.
Philip's father left before he was born, taking his reasons with him. Now, here he is, opening up the door from beyond the grave. That door leads to more questions, and those questions lead to Greenland. Philip follows the clues - they're all he has left.
On leaving the final signs of human civilization behind him, in search of the location mentioned in his father's ambiguous notes, Philip wonders if he's left some part of his humanity behind as well. Soon, that will be the least of his fears.

Now, Philip needs your help. He's found an inexplicable metal hatch, in the middle of a frozen wasteland. Inside, is something yet more unfathomable.

Step into the unknown.

Gameplay
Penumbra: Overture is a first person adventure game that focuses on story, immersion and puzzles. Instead of using violence to progress the player has to use his/her wits to guide Philip on his quest to unravel the past. Played from a first person viewpoint, Penumbra is very different from other adventure games. Not only is it powered by a 3D engine utilizing cutting edge technology, it also has an advanced physics system which allow for a never before seen environment interaction.

The weapon system differs from your average game; swinging a melee weapon is done using the mouse, which increases the realistic feel of combat. Fighting enemies is not something best done with brute force though, in most situations fighting is a last resort and the player is often better of using his/her wits. The AI of the enemies will also do its best to hunt and scare the player. The creatures encountered can break down doors, use group co-ordination, interact with the physics and more.

Penumbra: Overture will keep players on the edge as they have to explore scary and immerse environments never knowing what is behind the next corner. The world is detailed, graphical as well as a story wise making the player feel part of the world as secrets are uncovered.

Features
* Detailed and atmospheric environments.
* State of the art interaction system.
* Thrilling blend of puzzles and action.
* Dark secrets to be discovered.
* Over 8 hours of gameplay.

Set in the mysterious Aperture Science Laboratories, Portal has been called one of the most innovative new games on the horizon and will offer gamers hours of unique gameplay.

The game is designed to change the way players approach, manipulate, and surmise the possibilities in a given environment; similar to how Half-Life 2's Gravity Gun innovated new ways to leverage an object in any given situation.

Players must solve physical puzzles and challenges by opening portals to maneuvering objects, and themselves, through space.

Portal is coming in the Fall of 2007 as part of The Orange Box, which also includes Team Fortress 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode Two. The Orange Box will be available for the PC, as well as the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 console systems.

Blood Bowl  Cyanide2009single playerBlood Bowl is the video game adaptation of Games Workshop's famous board game of the same name.

A brutal team sport unfolding in a parallel fantasy world based on Warhammer and American football, Blood Bowl invites gamers to form a team of players from such races as: Orcs, Elves, Humans, Dwarfs and many other fantasy creatures, and launch themselves into battle in the bloodiest of arenas. This strategy sports game combines a fine balance of tactics and bone crunching action!

The game offers two game modes. The first, which is fully real time, offers a spectacular gameplay. Intense battles between blocking linemen and daring displays of agility of players leaping and dodging through opponents tackle zones, while powerful spells and dirty trick special plays are unleashed across the pitch; all this creates a highly charged atmosphere. Of course, since it is sometimes difficult to keep an eye on the entire field at once, the game's interface offers different tactical and strategic setups, while the AI is responsible for managing the players on the field.

The second game mode, an actual turn-based game, is a treat for players of the original board game because it is an exact replica of Games Workshop's tabletop masterpiece. The original rules have been faithfully reproduced, and it contains all of the devices, strategies, play and rhythm of the original game.

The single-player experience allows the player to manage a team throughout an entire season of Blood Bowl, through the Old World of Warhammer. The team will evolve over the course of victories, experience gained and awards won. With its immense depth, the game can almost be considered as a management game, from managing the popularity and sponsorship of players to the purchase and sale of players, as well as their aging, retirement and even death.

In multiplayer, the player will be able to throw down a challenge to other Blood Bowl players and participate in large tournaments on the Internet in order to climb the official ranks.

Imprescindible, si el Portal hablase diría "I'm proud of you son"

10 de 10***Portal 2 draws from the award-winning formula of innovative gameplay, story, and music that earned the original Portal over 70 industry accolades and created a cult following.

The single-player portion of Portal 2 introduces a cast of dynamic new characters, a host of fresh puzzle elements, and a much larger set of devious test chambers. Players will explore never-before-seen areas of the Aperture Science Labs and be reunited with GLaDOS, the occasionally murderous computer companion who guided them through the original game.

The game’s two-player cooperative mode features its own entirely separate campaign with a unique story, test chambers, and two new player characters. This new mode forces players to reconsider everything they thought they knew about portals. Success will require them to not just act cooperatively, but to think cooperatively.

* Complete two-person co-op: Multiplayer game featuring its own dedicated story, characters, and gameplay.
* Advanced physics: Allows for the creation of a whole new range of interesting challenges, producing a much larger but not harder game.

The land cries out for a new hero, a powerful warrior or a mystic wizard like those spoken of in the prophecies of yore.

Step into the Dungeons of Dredmor! Embrace your destiny! Face evil of the likes the world has never known - the terrifying Swarmies, the undulating Thrusties, and the adoreable nest-building Diggles. Worship Inconsequentia, the Goddess of Pointless Sidequests, or try your luck as a devotee of the nameless Lutefisk God. In the midst of an RPG, he was teleported to a castle. At first, Daniel believed that he was having a massive hallucination. Eager to keep playing within the RPG to create his own adventure, he decides to go along for te ride until his delirium comes to an end.
Once inside the castle, Daniel is inhabited by a mysterious shadow. This dark spirit can communicate with Daniel, but not control him. The shadow has a simple goal: to escape from the prison of Daniel's body. There's a catch, though-- the dark spirit can only escape if Daniel perishes.
Struggling against enemies in the castle, with the dark spirit attempting to murder him at every turn. Daniel finally discovers his goal: to kill Harnakon, the master of the castle, and free the Pure-Spirits who are trapped within. While the stage seems set for a typical role-playing adventure, Daniel will soon discover that everything is not what it seems...

9 de 10.***What is Legend of Grimrock?
* Old-school dungeon crawling game inspired by Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder and Ultima Underworld.
* Explore a vast dungeon riddled with hidden switches, pressure plates, sliding walls, trapdoors and more.
* Discover secrets, cast spells with runes and craft potions with herbs.
* Fight murderous monsters and seek lost artifacts in ancient tombs.
* Create a party of four characters and customize them with different races, classes, skills and traits.

Legend of Grimrock is a dungeon crawling role playing game with an oldschool heart but a modern execution. A group of prisoners are sentenced to certain death by exiling them to the secluded Mount Grimrock for vile crimes they may or may not have committed. Unbeknownst to their captivators, the mountain is riddled with ancient tunnels, dungeons and tombs built by crumbled civilizations long perished now. If they ever wish to see daylight again and reclaim their freedom the ragtag group of prisoners must form a team and descend through the mountain, level by level.

The game brings back the oldschool challenge with highly tactical real-time combat and grid-based movement, devious hidden switches and secrets as well as deadly traps and horrible monsters. Legend of Grimrock puts an emphasis on puzzles and exploration and the wits and perception of the player are more important tools than even the sharpest of swords could be. And if you are a hardened dungeon crawling veteran and you crave an extra challenge, you can arm yourself with a stack of grid paper and turn on the Oldschool Mode which disables the luxury of the automap! Are you ready to venture forth and unravel the mysteries of Mount Grimrock?

8 de 10***When you, as a young boy, are dropped off to visit your uncle, you notice something’s wrong. First, he’s not there to greet you. Second, there’s the explosion that happened right as you arrived. And third, the house seems to be even weirder than you remembered it. Now, your job is to find—and ultimately rescue—your uncle, by using his newest invention, the Interdimensional Shift Device (or IDS), to switch between dimensions and solve puzzles. That sofa too heavy to move? There’s a dimension for that! Switch to Fluffy Dimension and that sofa is now light as a feather. Need to get up to a high ledge? There’s a dimension for that! Just switch to Anti-Gravity Dimension and things begin to float upward. Need to make things heavier? There’s a dimension for th—well, you get the idea. Switch dimensions in real time, work your way through the crazy complex mansion wings and rescue your uncle!

4 de 10***Although the game has 2 ways to win it, there is really only one ending, so the game does not as it is qualify for multiple endings tag (though some might disagree).***Lucius is the son of the devil who has to clear the mansion of its residents. To do this he must orchestrate "accidents" without anyone suspecting him of any foul play. The player starts as Lucius and must cleverly devise these incidents from simple household items. Every time he succeeds he will gain supernatural powers to help him take full control.

His growing supernatural powers may be used in various ways. He will eventually become able to control objects and people with mind power, move objects around without touching them. Lucius even has the incredible mind power to dictate weak people into causing destruction and pain.

He was born on the 6th of June in 1966 and when he had lived his sixth year on earth, he finally started to show signs of his true origin.

The mansion is full of unrevealed mysteries that paint a story behind the family and how it became tangled with evil, but what is already clear is that Lucifer had taken the soul of the boy and replaced it with his own blood.

It's up to you to see that he cannot be stopped...

Two Point Hospital Sega (Two Point Studios)2018single player, InternetTwo Point Hospital is a light-hearted hospital management simulation game and a spiritual successor to the 1997 game Theme Hospital. The player is tasked with the management of a chain of hospitals in Two Point County, with each hospital representing a mission which needs to be completed in order to progress to the next, with different objectives assigned to them.

As with Theme Hospital, the player is required to build the necessary rooms for diagnosis, treatment and comfort of patients, as well as research departments, staff rooms and other infrastructure. Staff, from humble janitors to renowned consultants, need to be hired, trained, rested, and kept satisfied with their job. Finally, hospitals can be customized to a higher degree than before, and items can be unlocked through leveling up existing hospitals. Meanwhile, the hospital's reputation and profitability need to be maintained in order to succeed.

Illnesses are, unlike those in the real world, humourous in nature (e.g. light-headedness means the patient has a literal light bulb instead of a normal head). Minor ones, which do not manifest visually, require simple pharmaceutical treatment to be researched, while visual ones require entire dedicated rooms which are equally absurd.

Aside from the main objectives for a particular mission, staff members can occasionally challenge the player in optional side objectives. Unlike in Theme Hospital, staff can make use of certain facilities like toilets and vending machines in their break times, and have more elaborate demands which affect their satisfaction with their workplace. All staff can be trained by external trainers and can even train each other, and while some skills (e.g. motivation) are common to all professions, there are some which are restricted to only a few professions (e.g. only nurses can be trained for injections, and only janitors can capture ghosts of dead patients).

Aside from staff challenges, there are occasional visits from VIPs and optional emergency objectives, which bring extra reputation, money and Kudosh for successful completion. Kudosh is an in-game currency which is received exclusively from completing challenges and missions, and helps in unlocking customization items for future hospitals, increasing their attractiveness and therefore staff and patient satisfaction.

As of the Superbug Initiative free update, the game's online features allow multiple players to join group projects and track each other's progress.***
