6 de 10***The dagger of Xian is a powerful artifact rumoured to have the power to turn its bearer into a dragon, after a certain ceremony where he or she has to press the dagger into his or her heart. It was first created by a cruel emperor who wanted to destroy his enemies and also, conquer new countries. He ruled China and the places he had conquered tyrannically.
A group of Tibetan warrior monks managed to remove the dagger from the heart of the Xian emperor and hid it in a secret chamber in the Great Wall of China and gave their descenders the task to guard the dagger and fight against people who wanted Xian's powers for their own good. In this adventure, Lara searches for it against the megalomaniac Marco Bartoli, the Italian leader of Fiamma Nera. He wants to use the power of the dagger to rule the world and your job is to get to it first. To do that though, you must unlock the Sanctuary of the dagger.
The problem is that the key is located somewhere in the snowy mountains of Tibet...

5 de 10***Lara's adventures start in India, while she's searching for the Infada Stone, a local legendary artifact, located in the ruins of an ancient temple in the Jungle. While following Ganges and after having found the artifact she meets Dr.Willard, a Scottish scientist who appears to be quite friendly. He tells her that the Infada Stone is one of the four artifacts that were made of an ancient meteorite and hires her to find the rest three. The four artifacts are:The Infada Stone,The Element 115,The Ora Dagger and The Eye of Isis.

As we can see in the opening FMV, the meteorite was discovered by some British sailors who saw the four artifacts placed with it. The only survivor sold all the artifacts when he returned to England. Willard needs the material of the artifacts to do some experiments.

After Lara has found all four artifacts, she heads to Antarctica, where Willard is doing his research. The plot thickens when Lara discovers that the material of the artifacts may have bad consequences in evolution, when tested on humans. Willard steals her artifacts and a man chase begins.

4 de 10***When Lara was sixteen years old, she accompanied the archaeologist Werner Von Croy on his journey to Cambodia(1984).Von Croy taught her the basic things about archaeology. Going with him was indeed a valuable experience for Lara-it was with him that she acquired the basic tomb raiding skills. However, Von Croy was not a very honest man and he got trapped in a temple because of his greed for fame and money. Lara tried to save him, but she had to leave the tomb, in order to save her own life.
In the present day, Lara is hired to discover a new tomb in Egypt. She discovers Tomb of Seth, where she takes the Amulet of Horus from a sarcophagus. That's a terrible mistake. Seth was an evil god, imprisoned in the tomb by his brother Horus and now he is set free. Lara accidentally activates a terrible prophecy. Jean-Yves ,an old friend of her, tells her about the prophecy of Seth:
'I am the shadow across the sun; I am the bringer of plagues. My wrath will consume all lands and shall be ceaseless.'
Only Lara can set things back to normal again. Fortunately the person who unleashed Seth is the one that can imprison him again in his tomb, through a special ceremony. Lara has to go to tomb of Semerkhet in Karnak, in order to put Seth back in his sarcophagus. She places the amulet near the door and comes in. Von Croy, who somehow survived, steals the amulet and traps her inside the tomb.
Lara manages to escape and now, she has to take it back. These things are not shown in a FMV. There are about 14 levels for you to play before you start trying to take the amulet back. The plot gets darker when Von Croy kidnaps Jean-Yves. Enough said. Go and play the game to learn the rest.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption  Activision (Nihilistic Software)2000The protagonist joined a crusade for religious reasons even if this motive faded. He is in love with a Christian (Benedictine) nun (of which order?) who definitely values her religion and wants to keep her vows (which was not a given in the 12th century). This nun also values prayer. The protagonist also has religious vows that he clings to. Christian religion has a significant role in the story. Though the game ending greatly depends on the protagonist's conduct, this mechanic is has nothing to do with any real-world faith or religion, it is more of an constructed system of virtue unique to the game.***

Tomb Raider: Chronicles  Eidos (Core Design)2000Quizás con un enfoque de conspiración que no le encaja del todo bien, pero la enorme mejora de los controles y cámara lo convierte en un juego pasable.

5 de 10***Lara is said to be dead in Egypt, because the Temple of Horus, collapsed with her inside. Some old friends (Bram Patrick Dunstan, Winston, and Jean-Yves) meet in her mansion to pay their respects and talk about some of her adventures we haven't seen so far. You have to play 4 small adventures in order to finish the game .

1st Adventure: Rome
Pierre du Pont and Larson teamed up. Lara wanted to buy the Mercury Stone from Larson, because this artifact was essential in order to find a more important one: The Philosopher's Stone. They met in an Opera House. However Pierre and Larson wanted both money and the Mercury Stone, so Lara grabbed the stone and with a clever trick, she escaped from them. Now, you have to find the chamber of the Philosopher's Stone and collect some artifacts which you need to place on the doors of the chamber, against Larson and Pierre.

2nd Adventure: Russia
A German U-boat found the Spear of Destiny, which was rumoured to be able to make the German army invincible. The U-boat sunk (why?) and the Spear of Destiny was lost in the sea. Today, a Mafioso, Sergei Mikhailov, wants to take the artifact and an admiral of the Russian navy, Yarofev, helps him with his ship, because he needs money badly. So Lara tries to get into their ship and find the artifact first.

3rd Adventure:Ireland
This is an adventure of Lara when she was young... She lived with Winston and his wife for a while in Connussie, when Father Dunstant came and said that he was going to go to a nearby island because there were strange things happening on it (strange lights, sounds e.t.c.). As a priest he had to check it. Lara secretly followed him and went to the island, hidden in his boat. You, now, have several tasks to complete, because many unholy creatures await for you and the boss of them, the Demon Knight, is very unpleasant.

4th Adventure: Von Croy's Industries Headquarters(VCI)
People who have played Last Revelation, know that Von Croy got trapped while trying to take the Iris artifact. He somehow survived ,took the Iris and put it in VCI Headquarters. Lara decided to steal it. She has to deal with tough armed men and robots, jump, climb and press lots of switches, before she can exit the building. Zip, a new friend, talks to her and gives her advice on her guest for the Iris (of course,he talks to her through some sort of headphones).

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth  Bethesda Softworks;Ubisoft Entertainment (Headfirst Productions)2006INT 2009-06-16 on Steam, by Bethesda Softworks (lang: eng, fre, ger)***The game is initially very much like survival horror, but "degenerates" sometime in the midpoint of the game to stealth FPS and later to plain FPS (although only because the enemies no longer have firearms and you don't have to watch out for them shooting at you anymore, the character is extremely frail [compared to other FPS games] and wouldn't survive such).
There may be some confusion on the true nature of the protagonist. But, if one bothers to understand the mythos, we can see that the Yith only swapped bodies with him. Explaining the sequence where he was in an alien body for a time, and the amnesiac time of his past. His consciousness had been swapped by the Yith, leaving his consciousness in the "original" body of the Yith who had taken over his. Some have proposed that the protagonist himself is Yith but this ignores how the Yith work (they swap minds across time and space, usually for purposes of study). The Yith either wiped his memory or the experience was too traumatic that caused the initial amnesia. As an additional note, the physical form of the Yith is actually not their original, simply what species they had taken over in force (supposedly not all can house their minds for prolonged periods of time).
***Call of Cthulhu -- Dark Corners of the Earth is a first-person horror game that combines intense action and adventure elements. You will draw upon your skills in exploration, investigation, and combat while faced with the seemingly impossible task of battling evil incarnate.

Other than fighting, you have the ability to interact freely with characters and the gaming environment. To increase the sense of immersion, there is no interface or 'HUD' on screen at any time during normal gameplay. Instead, more intuitive methods are available for you to assess your condition, ammunition levels, and other relevant information. The combat within the game is extremely realistic, with a detailed damage and healing system that breaks down the healing process into conditions and treatments - rather than having the typical FPS 'health packs' lying around everywhere.

The game also allows you to stamp your own style onto the proceedings via an advanced AI system that can react to your method of play. Cthulhu enemies can roam freely around the environment - opening doors and tracking you down single-handedly or in groups. To stay alive you won't just be able to outshoot them, you'll need to outthink them as well.

You will have to keep your mental health in check as you are exposed to the increasingly shocking images of the Cthulhu Mythos. You will need to combat enemies using the environment, powerful and evil artifacts, Alien technology, or by fighting with weapons that are completely authentic for the period.

Set during the 1920s, Call of Cthulhu is based on the Cthulhu Mythos of HP Lovecraft, an American writer of fantasy and horror. Lovecraft's stories tell of unthinkable evil, psychic possession, and mythical worlds and his work has profoundly influenced numerous fantasy and science fiction writers, including Stephen King and Anne Rice.

The technology powering Call of Cthulhu has provided Headfirst with the means to present an incredibly detailed and accurate depiction of the sights and sounds of this unique 1920's New England setting. A diverse range of cutting edge special effects is utilized to ensure both unprecedented levels of realism and an exact portrayal of your mental degredation.

Key Features:
* Diverse array of levels from quaint towns to alien locations, including Deep One City
* Dynamic Sanity system resulting in hallucinations, panic attacks, vertigo, paranoia, and more!
* Incredibly detailed real-time graphics with atmospheric lighting and dynamic shadows
* Intelligent gameplay involving puzzle solving as well as combat and exploration
* 1920s weaponry and vehicles as well as evil artifacts and alien technology

Step into the unknown.

Gameplay
Penumbra: Overture is a first person adventure game that focuses on story, immersion and puzzles. Instead of using violence to progress the player has to use his/her wits to guide Philip on his quest to unravel the past. Played from a first person viewpoint, Penumbra is very different from other adventure games. Not only is it powered by a 3D engine utilizing cutting edge technology, it also has an advanced physics system which allow for a never before seen environment interaction.

The weapon system differs from your average game; swinging a melee weapon is done using the mouse, which increases the realistic feel of combat. Fighting enemies is not something best done with brute force though, in most situations fighting is a last resort and the player is often better of using his/her wits. The AI of the enemies will also do its best to hunt and scare the player. The creatures encountered can break down doors, use group co-ordination, interact with the physics and more.

Penumbra: Overture will keep players on the edge as they have to explore scary and immerse environments never knowing what is behind the next corner. The world is detailed, graphical as well as a story wise making the player feel part of the world as secrets are uncovered.

Features
* Detailed and atmospheric environments.
* State of the art interaction system.
* Thrilling blend of puzzles and action.
* Dark secrets to be discovered.
* Over 8 hours of gameplay.
