After trying solutions that work in every other game, I found on a forum that switching to sw rendering and back to D3D fixes it temporarily, and it did, even OpenGL rendering didn't have it. But both of those had some other issues I didn't want so I kept looking. Until I switched off vsync, and behold, sound clipping is [i]gone[/i]. Fine and dandy with me, except it doesn't make slightest bit of [u]sense[/u]. Video card setting that releases the framerate synchronization with screen refresh and allows the game to render more frames [i]somehow[/i] allows the game to play the voice overs to the end. X³: Reunion  Deep Silver (Egosoft)2005A game about the vastness of the space in a very big universe filled with all kinds of stuff (as ships, stations, asteroids...) and comprising a lot of different ways to play the game (militar, merchant, raider, police, transporter, salvager...) Its complexity and freedom are almost infinite, and has very clever features as speeding the time (for long travels) and very well-crafted reputation and market systems.

But there are 3 big issues with the game:
-The interface and controls are straight horrendous, forcing to employ the auto-pilot more than it should.
-The mission panel is very spartan and doesn´t records any indication of a possible mission (only points at already signed contracts, not featuring indications recieved in messages)
-Theres only 1 message log (important and worth-saving messages merge with a gigantic clutter of mundane conversations and tips)
These 3 problems make the in-game progress very difficult and immensely slow, and the game very boring/frustrating to play.

White Gold: War in Paradise is not a direct continuation of the Boiling Point: Road to Hell storyline, but a successor in atmosphere and gameplay mechanics. "Precursors" is a new project of Deep Shadows. The game action takes place in space and on the surface of various planets. The genre of the game is freeplay RPG with FPS and space sim combat elements.

7 de 10***Besides removing pretty much everything that was bad about ME1, ME2 has some other improvements besides that. Though I did miss driving with the Mako on the planet with the Thorian, I'm still glad planetary surveys had been simplified to manual scanner sweeps over the old drive around with the Mako till you find something of interest. The game's RPG elements have been simplified, as most weapon skills no longer exist, and the ones that exist are temporary boosts or similar. Biotics were largely unchanged, though some new powers were added. A unique(?) feature was introduced with every single skill branching on the last (fourth) level into two alternatives that give various benefits. Otherwise the game remains largely the same, though there's almost none of the tedious running "quests" ME1 had on the Citadel. The locations you visit are much smaller, but generally speaking more unique. You won't feel like you're visiting the same place for the thousandth time unless you really are. That comes obviously with the cost that there's less optional things to do besides scanning planets for minerals, though I didn't bother to scan any more than was necessary (which probably left well over two thirds of the systems unexplored).

To summarize: ME2 is better in almost all aspects I could care about in ME1's sequel, was somewhat amazed at this achievement myself.***[b]Minimum:[/b]
