Aerial attack suspension

Video game concept

Attacking mid-air causes the character to briefly stop or significantly slow falling or even give more altitude, usually to allow player perform aerial combos. May be limited to working only if you actually hit someone.

The first video game about Aerial attack suspension was released on August 23, 2001.

Capcom, Hapa Games and Spooky Squid has published most of these games

This is common part of air combos, but can happen without any comboing (e.g. just jumping up and using regular attacks, regardless if you have targets).
