Tools, usually weapons, designed to destroy protective armor or permanently make it less effective or much faster than anything else is capable of. This also includes abilities, skills, spells, etc. that do the same.

In some cases the effect of armor breaking lasts only until the combat is over, in other instances it can quite permanently destroy the armor (the armor item is destroyed to such degree it can't be recovered), or they simply break the armor. If these simply reduce armor for # turns or # seconds/minutes, then it's not part of this.
