Bleep censor

Culture concept

A monotone beep tone used to censor profanity, risque dialog, or similar. Often used for comedic effect.

Name variations: beep censor

The first video game about Bleep censor was released on October 13, 2009.

Terrible Toybox and Double Fine Productions has published most of these games

Some instances of the comedy actually censor only some cases, drawing additional comedy from the fact that it isn't censored in other cases, either indicating it wasn't anything censorworthy to begin with or that the character changed what was said but the characters react as if it was the same.
