Cross-platform series
Video game theme
Any series that requires ownership of multiple platforms to play completely (has not appeared in full on single platform).
See also: cross-platform story
These are either very long running series, trying to bring something (spin-offs) of the series to all platforms they care about, or doing something very questionable (same storyline is split across multiple platforms).
Note that this is not for series that have been published in part on multiple platforms, but rather series that have not been published on any of the platforms in full. For example, just because only small portion of the series has been published on PS3 does not qualify for this if the whole series is available on X360.
