Note that this does not cover employees unless they're of some extreme loyalty type that'll stick to you even if you can't pay them, the perfect butler types, or similar.

Usually player can somehow abuse or benefit from their devotion, such as asking them to perform tasks for you for whatever reason. Rarely if ever the player can return the devotion in any manner (besides thanking them). Thus there's much untrod ground with these as they're rare to begin with.
