Player character can, for some obscure reason, jump again in mid-air once or more often (during "single" jump), reaching much higher or farther they normally would.

Name variations: double jump, triple jump, jumping

Usually this is limited to the ascending part of the jump, but some games allow the following jump to be performed even during descend.

Possible explanations:
* Rockets (jetpack, rocket boots, etc.)
* Wings, fins, or other appendages (only good for that single additional burst)
* Magic (summons a short-lived platform from which they jump, or something similar to the above)
