DRM: Login

Software concept

Any DRM that requires an account at an online service.

The first video game about DRM: Login was released on August 31, 2008.

Kalypso Media Digital, Ubisoft and Electronic Arts has published most of these games

These likely tie product key to the login account, making resale of the product impossible.

Note that this is not necessarily labeled as DRM anywhere, but the requirement to login at an online service (simply to start the game) is hardly anything but a DRM feature.

This is NOT for online-only games (e.g. MMOs).
