Faceless protagonist

Creatures theme

The protagonist's face is never seen, either because he/she is always turned away or wearing something that covers the face completely (such as a full helmet or a mask). Or he/she literally has no face at all.

The first video game about Faceless protagonist was released in 1984.

11 bit studios, Codemasters and Paradox Interactive has published most of these games

Should not be used in case of amoeboids or animate objects serving as protagonist, or anything else that normally doesn't have a face (lacking a face addition is not the same as missing a face it should have).

Unlike unseen protagonist, this may be seen otherwise, but has their face obscured always in some manner, such as wearing a mask/helmet, censoring, turned away from the camera always, etc.
