* Pain - being damaged by the fall but not being affected by it other than a numerical decrease will seem strange.
* Injuries - falling from even greater height and not breaking your legs or at least spraining an ankle will seem strange.

Contrast:
* No fall damage
Characters take damage from falling from a height and hitting solid or possibly even semi-solid surface. The damage taken is usually relative to the length of the fall.
