Video game concept

The HUD tries to show only information that is useful at any given moment and no more.


The first video game about Dynamic HUD was released on February 16, 2005.

Ubisoft, THQ and Electronic Arts has published most of these games

* Integrated HUD
* HUDless
Such as health is not displayed unless it's below max. Ammo information is not displayed unless you have weapon readied, shooting or trying to reload. And so forth.

For games where the pointer device is not directly used for control, it may be that pushing it to any of the sides on the screen pulls out a piece of the HUD.

Some games with dynamic HUD allow turning the HUD into static one where all information is always displayed, or customizing which pieces of information stay and which hide.
