Player is given the choice to willingly dispense false information, obscure the truth, or possibly withhold critical information (when such action is harmful to others).

Withholding information should only be included in this if it's knowingly harmful, such as not revealing that there are bloodthirsty monsters sleeping in the rafters, some critical information on function of a device (thus preventing others making fully informed decision about it), withholding non-harmful information that is clearly labeled as treason or similar (e.g. knowledge of escapees from prison), and so forth. This limitation simply to exclude harmless instances that only the most draconian people would consider equivalent to lying.
