Alternate name: Mixed time-keeping

As an example, in Divinity: Original Sin combat is turn-based, but anything and anyone outside of the battle are still moving real-time, so while the combat is waiting for turns to progress, people not participating in it are free to run around and do whatever they want irrespective of the turns. This includes player characters that were not close enough to the battle. However if they join the battle, they join the turn-order.
