Video game concept

Requires vastly different approaches between various elements of the game, such as playable factions, characters, or such.

The first video game about Multi-paradigm was released in 1998.

Blizzard Entertainment has published all these games

Over simplification of this can be explained as comparison of fighting with a warrior or wizard. Non multi-paradigm case (which is common), has both doing basic (auto-)attacks, invoking special abilities occasionally to deal extra damage, while possibly moving about to avoid damage. The fact the wizard can take less damage and his damage output is more focused on special abilities than (auto-)attacks does not mean he uses different paradigm entirely (the basic gameplay is identical).

In essence, multi-paradigm is NOT just differences in 2-3 stats like physical attack strength, health, and magical attack strength. Or in terms of vehicles: handling, acceleration, and top speed.
