Gamebooks are by default story driven and should not be tagged. Visual novels are by definition narrative driven and similarly benefit from this very little.
While story advancement may be essential to many games, especially RPGs, most games extensively require other game-mechanics-driven action battles, turn-based battles, finding objects, solving puzzles, navigating the game world and so forth. Seldom are games designed around the player advancing the narrative as the primary game mechanic.
