No diffuse maps

Software concept

Does not use diffuse maps that wrap a color texture around a 3D model, instead each face of the model uses lone texture/sprite that can sometimes overflow the model creating detail that is not possible with diffuse maps.

Name variations: No texture maps

Diffuse mapping is an extremely common technique for basic texturing of 3D models that vast majority of 3D games use for characters and objects (though environments tend to not use it except for props). Diffuse maps are sometimes incorrectly referred to as texture maps, but texture mapping includes far more than just diffuse mapping. Though it's unlikely, though not impossible, the other parts of texture mapping are used if diffuse mapping is not either.

This tag should NOT be used if the game does not use textures at all.
