NPC suppressive fire

Other (objects, etc.) concept

NPCs employ suppressive fire tactics, firing in an area (even if they know they're guaranteed to not hit anyone) where they know or suspect enemies to be in to deny them chance to relocate or return fire.

The first video game about NPC suppressive fire was released on June 26, 2009.

Goldhawk Interactive has published all these games

This does not include enemies shooting directly at a target regardless of any obstacles in-between (AI does not care or notice the obstacles and thus keeps firing no matter how futile), though that can easily be confused with this.
