Outlander protagonist

Visiting the protagonist's origin country/land/whatever can be included if it's only minimal, as otherwise their nature as outlander is in question.

Besides amnesia, being from another world, or being a literal alien, this is one of the few somewhat reasonable reasons to teach the player character about basic things even small children should know about.

This is not very useful if the game is set on multiple worlds or the protagonist is somehow otherwise expected to be a foreigner part of the way. Such as games mostly set in space, or in trading simulations.
