An item associated with Shinto (ofuda), Taoism (fu), and Hinduism (sutra). Usually seen as part of "traditional" Japanese magic especially when Onmyouji are involved, with common uses in exorcism and warding.

Although ofuda and fu are the talismans themselves, sutra are actually the words/phrases written on one and are not restricted to such talismans/charms, sutra is however used to describe the whole thing in some pieces of fiction.
