For instance. If pausing the game exactly when a grenade explodes, could make it continue to cause damage (to any damageable object, even the player) for the duration of the pause. Or pausing exactly when exiting a level could cause the player to appear in a totally unexpected place. Or a certain type of projectile will travel a bit of distance when pausing while other moving objects freeze in place immediately; so that repeatedly pausing and unpausing could make said projectile undodgable.
