Modern PC hardware can't deal with resolutions under 640x480 in fullscreen mode, so games that use less but are aware of the limitation are likely to support this. Also games that allow running in a window but have a native resolution of 640x480 or even 320x240 may offer the same solution considering modern systems have 1920x1080 (Full HD) resolution. Often the choices range from doubling (for 640x480), tripling (for 320x240), or sometimes even quadrupling (for 320x240) the resolution.
Note that unlike in other resolution changes, these do not expand the visible area as the graphics are enlarged.
