Player aversion
Video game concept
Any tags that describe features (or lack of them) normally not included because "most" players/consumers find them immensely unfun.
Inclusion here does not mean that there are no players who find the feature interesting or enjoyable, only that these features are avoided in commercial or especially mainstream (AAA) titles.
This is a container group; its children are:
Aging | Characters, especially the protagonist, age over time and possibly die from it (eventually). (too short) | 1985 / 2020 | 47 games |
Imperfect recovery | Player can't ever recover fully from received wounds, transformations, and such. (too short) | 2006 / 2013 | 6 games |
No fantastic recovery | Averts a common trope in popular fiction where recovery from disfiguring wounds, forced polymorph, or such, does not produce perfect or near perfect recovery, leaving the person at least partially and quite noticeably disfigured. | 2009 / 2012 | 2 games |
Scarring | Getting injured creates permanent scarring or similar markers of the injury. (too short) | 1994 / 2016 | 6 games |
