Power fantasy
Fiction genre theme
A genre of fiction that empowers the protagonist above anyone else.
Vast majority of video games are power fantasy and thus are not really worth tagging with this except maybe on the most egregious instances where it's taken to ludicrous degree.
Usually tragedy, certain horror games, abstract games, and few others are the only ones that are likely to NOT be power fantasy.
Note: The "fantasy" in the name does not refer to fantasy fiction genre.
