RenderMan is of course designed to render high quality ("photorealistic") 3D animations for movies. Rendering a single frame can take weeks, a single object can take hours. But it turns out, if you just want a sort of rough-draft of the render, this can be done in real-time using the official products Quick RenderMan and Pixar's RIB previewer or there are other ways to produce a real-time rendering of objects created for RenderMan. This rough-draft can be configured for sufficient quality for interactive games. This group is for games that use RIS for "Interactive Rendering" regardless of the end software that accomplishes it.
