Activities theme

Player is required to generate one or more types of resources.


The first video game about Resource generation was released in 1993.

Ubisoft, SSI and Oxeye Game Studio has published most of these games

Most commonly electricity and food, but can be clothing, generic trade goods, planting forests, etc.

Unlike resource harvesting, this does not require anything external to be present for the resources to be generated, nor will this ever run out of the resource.
