The game saves whenever an opportunity rises for it, such as when anything worth recording in a save happens.

Notable people involved: Hidetaka Miyazaki, Tomohiro Shibuya and Yui Tanimura

This easily makes any choices the player makes permanent the moment they're made since there's presumably no way to load an earlier save.

If these are limited to saving at map changes, mission start/end, or similar major events, use autosave points instead (or in addition).
