Tools theme

A tool for harvesting wheat and related plants, a long pole with a handle to the side with a long curved blade arching back like a hook. In fiction these are often used for harvesting people much like how Death harvests the souls of the dead.

Although a weapon called war scythe existed, this was a regular scythe modified to function like a fauchard, with the blade pointing in the same direction as the pole, not like regular scythe as one sees in fiction. However, some sickles (such as Japanese kama and Mediterranean falx) have been used for combat as is, unlike scythes.
