Glasses that rapidly and alternately block one eye or the other in sync with two images alternating on the screen so that only one of the two images image is visible to the corresponding eye. Generally these are electronic LCD glasses with lenses that turn opaque to block the eyes. Older LCD shutter glasses systems need to be plugged into the console or computer, but newer ones are wireless using infrared, consumer radio waves, wireless B or G networking, or even bluetooth to keep in sync with the picture. It is also theoretically possible that the glasses could take their cues directly from the image like a light gun device.
