This was an improved clone of the Covox Speech thing but not directly compatible for many games.

The DSS used a telephone jack that plugged into a battery powered external amplified speaker with volume control. The speaker case had a hidden mickey the dongle had an obvious one. This case had a earphone jack for using other devices with speakers.

Disney also sold an adapter so the sound source could be used on Tandy computers that did not have a parallel port.
