Suspend save

Video game concept

Saves cause the player to quit a game until the save is loaded again. The save is erased upon load or when another save is made.

The save is erased upon load or when another save is made

The main difference between these is that the former is resistant to cheating while latter is resistant to hardware and software failures. For example, power failure or hitting reset will not cause player to lose all progress.
