The Witcher

Culture serie

Based on Andrzej Sapkowski's short stories telling tales of the witcher Geralt of Rivia.

Alternate names: Zaklínač, Wiedźmin

Characters

Geralt of Rivia, Dandelion, Zoltan Chivay, Nenneke, Triss Merigold, Vesemir, Shani
(view all the 7 "The Witcher " characters)
The world Geralt lives in is depicted as non-traditional dark fantasy world, with emphasis on grays rather than any extreme, where the old world is slowly dying out. There's no real good people out there and the grays shift constantly with nothing being as it first appears.

The books also enjoy depicting humans as the worst monsters.

Draws much from European (especially Eastern European) mythology and folktales while twisting them a bit.
