This can be magic, ointment/salve, whetstones, or pretty much anything as long as it only provides a temporary improvement to the tool/weapon's efficiency.
Examples:
* Flame sword - magic that engulfs a weapon in fire
* Poison salve - causing anyone struck with the weapon to be poisoned
* Whetstone - temporarily improves tool's sharpness and thus damage/cutting power
Note that this is specifically buff to the tools/weapons, not the person using them. So if the buff is in effect regardless of swapping a weapon, then it does not belong here (it should stay with the weapon it is applied to, not with the person using them).
