If an editor was has found and tagged a game with this tag, you can use it to help narrow your search in the following situations by also adding "uvl-techlimitation" in the tag search field:
Short names:
Example a title search for "D" normally produces over 400 pages of results. but coupled with the uvl-techlimitation tag search it is reduced to a more manageable 41 results (results for the game called "D" is on 1 page).
Special characters in fields:
The title "Agrippa(A Book of the Dead)" can't actually be put in the title fields because of the parenthesis. But search for "Agrippa" or "A Book of the Dead" with this tag, will preform a valid search with results limited to what you were probably expecting.
A title that contains Less-than and Greater-than symbols used in order will make the contained text invisible. But it can still be searched for. Alternate titles can be entered that use the small versions ﹤title﹥ and full-width versions <title> so that there is a visible title for the entry.
Title too long:
The title field can only hold 255 characters. Sometimes all the alternate titles will not fit.
Games have been known to be released in or translated to,Additionally, the game may be titled differently in each region it is released in even if some of the regions use the same language. A game could conceivably have over 60 different titles. If each title was only 5 characters long, tha'd need 360 characters to contain the titles. Most titles are longer than 5 characters. Non-romantic languages and special characters often use two bytes per character (one character is equivalent to two).
