Player can use variable amount of power, force, time, etc. on performing a magic spell, some skill, ability or other actions.

Alternate names: Variable ability power, Variable spell power

See also: charged actions, charged attack

Unlike the charged variants, player can usually designate the power level before hand and perform it uniformly at that level with no extra delay from increased power (though this may have increased energy, ammo, stamina, etc. cost).
