Experience is awarded from collecting dropped experience nuggets.

This is a cross-form between experience from objects and experience from kills. Kills (and/or other actions) generated these drops which need to be collected to be awarded them rather than directly being granted the experience from whatever generates these drops. If these drops can expire, player can essentially lose experience by not collecting them, which is possible if the experience is dropped by something near much tougher opponent you don't want to approach.

More obviously different from experience from kills when you get these experience drops only from some opponents.
