Compucolor II
Generation: 1
Units sold: 1000
Released games per year
Apple II was an all-in-one color home computer available just after the CC2, but only had monochrome text. There were other all-in-one systems, not in color. And color graphics upgrades were available even for the early s-100 computers. The Compucolor II was the first complete all-in-one color home computer with color text as well as graphics with no need for further upgrades.
A sound hardware add-on was available for the Compucolor II
The SMC CRT5027 video controller is based on the Texas Instruments TMS 9927.
Compucolor Corporation played fast and loose with trademarks, stamping the name "Star Trek" on three different games for example, so I suspect they did the same with copyrighted games (which was not unheard of at the time; competitor, Apple Corporation, did the same).
The Compucolor 8001 / Compucolor I is different system from Compucolor II.
