Projects and editing work
My efforts are focussed mostly on PC games, especially older and lesser-known titles. Researching these for projects of my own, I have over time gained access to a couple of game archives, resources, and industry contacts to help me. I'd like to consider myself an amateur videogame historian. To be honest, these days I'm more into documenting games than actually playing them – an observation that is supported by my Backloggery statistics (I own a lot of games, but really played only a few of them). If you have questions about any of the contributions or edits I made to the site, or would like to know my sources where they aren't mentioned, feel free to ask.

Gaming history and platforms

1992—started playing games copied from friends and neighbours (incl. virus epidemics)
1994—first contact with full-price games: CD Player 1/94 magazine covermount with 150+ game demos
1994—first PC game bought myself (Microïds Action Pack, compilation of 10 games)
1995—first full-price PC game bought myself (Fatal Racing a.k.a Whiplash)
1996—exact years unknown, but by this point I also owned a Game Boy Pocket and a Master System II
1998—subscription to new German PC games magazine GameStar, still ongoing
2005—got a PlayStation 2 for free from my cousin (thanks again!)
