Many gaming sites list "Marble Madness Deluxe Edition" and "Marble Madness Construction Set" as two different games. Actually they were both released on the same cassette tape. On one side it had the Deluxe Edition, which tries to copy the Marble Madness arcade levels and on the other side was the Construction Set, a level editing tool, which allows you to create and save your own levels. The game itself is a rather poor version. The marble moves too slowly and the levels don't scroll.

I must correct myself. There were indeed several versions. First the "Marble Madness Construction Set" with its own course and construction set. Second a "Marble Madness Deluxe Edition", which included the original arcade levels on-top of the construction set version. And a third version which led to my confusion and which I seem to happen to own. This version has the same box cover as the construction set version, but the cassette tape itself seems to contain the Deluxe Edition. The cassette itself only has a plain "Marble Madness" written on it. All three versions can be found at ebay. I intend to correct the Amstrad "Marble Madness" game entries as soon as I get a "normal" Construction set as well as "normal" "Deluxe Edition" version at a reasonable price.
