Street Fighter II

created and published by U.S. Gold, running on Amstrad CPC
This game has been canceled.
type: fighting
genre: One-on-one fighting
series: Street Fighter

Description

Announced by "Amstrad Action Magazine", which pretended that U.S. Gold confirmed a conversion for Amstrad CPC and several other video games magazines. However, nothing came, not even a prototype or a screenshot. U.S. Gold replied that the announcement of this game was a mistake and that there never were plans to port it on Amstrad CPC.

Now two homebrew games called "Street Fighter II" exist for the CPC:

* The first one, developed by Hermol in 2008, is a Street Fighter hack with Street Fighter II characters and improved graphics.
* The second one, "Street Fighter II - CPC Edition", developed by Augusto Ruiz, DaDMaN and McKlainme is the closest to the original arcade version graphically but is only a non-playable prototype for now.

Have removed the images, because can't be from the CPC.
Some sites have this game in list, but without pictures, so we can't confirm yet.

I hardly think that this game doesn't exist on the CPC, seeing the graphics that may not be from a CPC, plus the title screenshot with the "Insert coin". A homebrew "Street Fighter II" was released on January 2008, but it's a hack from Street Fighter.
